  2. How does blink work?
    blink has capabilities built right into the card that allow you to just hold your Chase card with blink up to a special reader at the checkout to pay for your purchases. These transactions are safe because they are protected by an additional level of encrypted security. Some stores don't even require you to sign a receipt. Of course the Chase card with blink can still be used like a regular debit card at millions of locations worldwide.
  3. How do I use blink?
    Just follow these four easy steps:
    1. Once your purchases have been totaled, hold your card up to the special reader at the checkout.
    2. If you are prompted by the merchant to select "Credit," or "Debit,", you must select "Credit" to blink. By selecting "Credit", you will not be required to enter your PIN. The money for purchases always comes directly from your Chase checking account.

    4. Wait for transaction approval and you are finished.

  5. How can I apply for a Chase card with blink?

  6. Does the Chase card with blink look different than regular cards?
    The Chase Visa Check Card or Chase Banking Card with blink will look similar to a traditional magnetic-stripe debit card and will work with existing merchant card terminals. The Chase debit card with blink will have one of the following symbols on the back
  7. How is blink different from Visa's payWave and MasterCard's PayPass™?
    All three terms refer to contactless payment features. Chase refers to its contactless feature as blink, whereas Visa refers to its as payWave and MasterCard refers to its as PayPass.

  8. Do blink transactions require a signature
    At participating merchants, blink transactions under $25 may not require a signature, significantly speeding transactions. If, at the time of purchase, the cashier asks you to select "Credit" or "Debit" you can choose either method to complete your purchase. You can blink your purchase by selecting "Credit" and be on your way. If you select "Debit" you cannot blink — instead you must swipe your card and provide your PIN to complete your purchase.
  9. Can I get a receipt for blink transactions?
    If you are not provided with a receipt and would like one, simply ask the cashier and one will be provided.
  10. Are blink purchases secure?
    Yes. blink transactions are safe because they are protected by an additional level of encrypted security. You must deliberately use the Chase card with blink at the point-of-sale to make the transaction. The Chase card with blink needs to be within an inch of the special reader and correctly oriented to be read. In addition, blink transactions use specific data that is protected by the highest level of security.
  11. What happens if the card is lost or stolen?
    To report a lost or stolen Chase debit card, please call Chase Customer Service at 1-800-935-9935 immediately. You are not responsible for any fraudulent card transactions made at stores, ATMs, online or over the phone when you notify us promptly.
